Membership The Church Everyone who is "taking refuge in the Mother, Heaven and earth" may become member of the Mother Church * Church of the Mother. A second membership of another religion or congregation isn't considered an obstacle. Members of the Mother Church call themselves "Originals", since they are taking refuge in the Origin, the Great Mother. To each other they are "brothers and sisters", which may be freely extended to everybody, since all people are "children of the Mother". Every local community tries to be self-sufficient. Hence, a volunteer secretary and a treasurer are of greatest importance. Only when the local community cannot manage its problems it may call for help to a "higher" level. This is usualy the regional council. Various regional councils are united in the supreme council. Note: the organization is entirely built up according to the bottom-top principle. See also "Church Organization". With regard to the finances every community has full control over its own resources. It decides about the height of the contributions as well as the spending. It is recommended that members pay 5% of their annual net income, while Reborn Order members pay 10%. The community for its part is paying 10% of its net income to the higher (regional) echelon. This money is mainly used for activities which exceed the means of the local community and for missionary work. The Reborn Order Those who apply for membership are becoming a novice called "greenie" for at least one year. After a series of initiations the novice is taking a Vow. The Vow "While surrendering to the Ultimate and rooted in the earth, I fully commit myself to the Wholeness of life - myself, nature and my fellow human beings". After the Vow the greenie's may call themselves "spiritual knight". Training Greenie's will receive a basic training in order to be able to serve others. It consists of the basic principles of a new spirituality, a new health care and a new community. After having served for a certain period of time, the greenie/knight may choose to go into further training or specialization. Going deeper into: |
